Billy, Not sure where you want questions on the tutorial to be posted. So if you want to move this somewhere else let me know.

Working on the disassembly. The pressure foot bar finally came loose. Should I try to get the sleeve thing it was frozen in off? There is a screw but it does not want to come loose.

2nd - Not sure what you call it, but seems like the ridges in the female side of the plastic belt holder on the motor rotor are all sheered off. I am sure they tried to run the machine with the needle frozen, there is plastic dust in this area. I would like to buy one and I think she may be ready to go! But I don't know what to call it or how to find a part number. Should I just take the part to the shop?

3rd - can I get away without taking the tension off? I cannot seem to figure out how to. There is not a regular screw inside the center of the knob.

Not bad for a free machine if that is all it is going to take.

Hi, is anybody still around that can look at this machine and see if it is what I think it is? It looks like a FW, but the colors are wrong. I have told the gal I want it. And of course people are will to pay more for it, so I need to jump on it before anyone offers her more then I have.

She says I can have it and and I am over the moon. She said a
guy wanted it, but just as an antique. She wants it to go to someone who will use it and love it. She even gave me the serial number. So it is mine. I just hope someone does not come in and offer her a ton more for it. She will not be home to get it till Thursday, so I will be holding my breath till then. But she is so - so cute. I am paying her more the the 45 but I don't even care. I think she will be a treasure.

I can't pick it up until next Wednesday as her son is here from AZ. They are going to be making a lot of day trips. I was kind of waiting to see what kind of condition it is in. Some people (like me) when they see rust they think it is ruined. Others know what they are doing and can look beyond it. It really depends how much work it needs. Besides what would I do with the rest of it?

I love my redhead, and definitely want all the attachments for it. Is it difficult to convert. Remember I broke an indestructible bobbin winder! :) :) :)

Okay you can leave the tension and all of that on the machine. You only take all of that off if it is REALLY grubby or OLD one! :-D

Now the part that is sitting on the plate is it plastic on the inside and the "splines" are ripped out? All you need is the model number of your machine and the part in hand and run to the repair shop and see if they have one. As far as the presserfoot bar sleeve try and soaking it in WD-40 and seeing what happens. Or try hitting it with the hair drier and see if you can warm it up and loosen the rascal.
