And if you need accessories just look for the Slant shank accessories the 301, 400, 500, 600 series are all the same.

I think i'm gonna call about this one. Can anyone clue me in about this model? Is it worth it?

TIA

Same as the Singer 99 without the light and decals, and sews very nicely. I have one and really like it! The price is just about right.

Sorry this was a reply to HisPatchwork.. I'll learn this stuff someday!

I work in a hospital and things (drawers and such) used to get labeled with a type of masking tape. We were trying to make old things useable in our new space so we have "Adhes-Away" which is wonderful for removing tape residue. Masking tape (old) is the very worse stuff to remove. We ended up using a razor blade on it after using Adhes-Away several time to get the sticky off. The brown yuck left behind is tortuous! Razor blade did work, but not sure you'd want to use it on a machine.

Hi

The general purpose plastic razor blades from Lee Valley are really handy little things for scraping without scratching:

Tammy, That is a cute machine. I have one just like it only it's called a Dynamic. It is about as big as a featherweight. Sews like a 99 with a little noise. Mine has made in Japan on it and it comes apart. It came in it's own case. She sews really nice and I call her Dina. Here is a few pictures of her.
Trish
