I'm a proud owner of a FW today,I've read every post and love seeing all the machines and the knowledge that you all have!My FW came in a wood round top case #AC613069 knee lever no foot pedal,other New home treadle in cabinet all the way to floor enclesed and treadle inside #4134573 theres a grayhound or something on bed of machine.any info would greatly be appreciated.My fiance'is having a ball getting these machines and cleaning per billys inst.Fun bullet type bobbins on both

Yep, that's what most of them say Embr/silk/norm! Isn't it cool that you have such a nice machine to FMQ with!

I did just try FMQ with her... the FD dropped, but the fabric would not move... what am I having a DUH moment about, what did I overlook? Oh, I THINK I have the top threaded right... if I post a pic, will that help? Could not see the instrux online, kept freezing my browser... so I guessed. Regular stitching works fine, I hand-cranked her before applying the power LOL.

Thanks for the nice comments about the quilt, that is the centermost part, its for my niece's wedding gift (brother's only daughter) ~ wedding in late June, so I'm trucking along on it.

OMG I have a friend in GB ~ I am not sure if she'd hold them for a month ... wow, that lower left one is a beaut!

BTW ~ no, I only have one foot that came with the 15 clone, I am hunting for my stash of other oddball feet ~ even when a machine does die for good, I never ever throw feet/accessories away... but when I moved my sewing room, I am not sure where I put 'em!

Try any short shank darning/hopping foot...or release the pressure on the presser foot. The knob on top of the machine above the presser foot should release the pressure (or apply it) Another option is to remove the presser foot completely and sew without it...remembering to put the lever down each time! ;)

Do you think someone ought to bother to tell the Pensacola person they've got a Supermatic, not a Grasshopper?

I don't believe I will ever get my Grasshopper, it was my MIL's and after she threw it across 20 ft at my DH and the cop who were trying to get her to the hospital to get checked out...well somehow it just has shall we say bad feelings associated with it???
