this is my new baby that will be home soon ... I have had a 66 on my list, because its my birth year (I know, weird reason) ~ but she's pretty, and is already up and running. She will by mine soon :)

So, how many of you while researching info on vintage machines and usage of vintage machines start folders of the google sites that you found helpful?

:?

If I understood your question correctly, I know what you mean. Did you see this topic on 'my pages' when I posted it? You might find it more helpful than 'bookmarking' googled info.

:-D

Oh! Thanks for posting the link to this discussion. I will look into using my page for the information! I liked reading how others handle this too. Thanks! :-)

You are welcome. I have learned to use 'my pages' a lot more since that topic. Did you click on my Profile and see the pages I have categorized? If you have any questions I would be glad to help you out on this. I have found it to me most helpful. After 'bookmarking' quite a few topics and then trying to locate them, it just began to feel like one of my junk drawers.... you might find something you want in there if you swish thingies back and forth long enough. LOL

Sorry, I didn't get back with you after this post. I got busy with kids activities, and then went to the Eagle Scout ceremony-which was way cool!

I know what you mean in that you feel like one of the junk drawers, that was how I'm feeling.

I never paid any attention to this feature, but now I will! After looking through yours, I now have an idea as to how to set mine up. Thank you again! :)

I am green with envy. Maybe one day I will have a red eye. Kathie

Hey, I think this is great! I love all 5 of my treadles, and my vintage machines. They have such history behind them. Just gotta lov'em!

Yes, some do look like chain sewing machines. The one on the far left reminds me of the Little Red Riding Hood Toy Sewing Machine made in Germany. Have to check on this. Sure are gorgeous.

This is what we call a Red Eye Singer. It is one of the prettiest Singers' made. Your so lucky.

I am fairly new to all the "other" vintage machines ~ but have known of the redeyes for about 20 years... that is the one vintage machine I have always wanted to own... got my 27 with Tiffany decals earlier this year (1906) ~ just got my 15 clone a few days ago, got a Willcox & Gibbs treadle parlor cabinet given to me (searching for a nice head), and now I'm getting my redeye... I am a happy camper!

Any ideas on how to keep the thread cutter on the 301 from sliding down? It seems to fit very tightly, but it slips down with use. Obvious answer - don't use it, but I'm accustomed to using a thread cutter.

This is fantastic! Again-Thanks for posting this information.
I copied a couple of your titles and added some of mine. I had only seen bookmarks, but never used that. This is much more helpful!
