I think I may have found a manual, but it does not use a model number, it just says White Rotary Electric Machine. Heck I can even get a reproduction 221 and was thinking about buying one just to see how they act. If it was a high quality reproduction then I would start selling them also. Well, thanks Billy, so glad to know that. Besides, I know you have furbabies and couldn't hurt one. By the way how is Lola doing these days? I am seriously thinking of peeling everything off and staining and varnishing it. It just hurts a bit. I feel like I'm defacing it.

As far a defacing the little fellow dont worry about it there are tons of cases (original) to be had so if you do that its not like you can not find another one. But this is coming from a guy who hot rods sewing machines with custom paint jobs......... :lol: :lol: :lol: Billy |

There is a yahoo site for FWs and a thread last week was with regard to restoring cases....here is a section of one of the replies that was posted: "If you want to have a case that looks as original as possible, contact Glenn Williams of Glenn Williams' 221/222/301 Parts. He has the absolute best fabric for recovering cases and he sells by the yard. Also, you should use the best spray adhesive you can buy, such as 3M Spray Trim Adhesive." Darcene: Thanks for the information, but I think the LAST thing I need to do is join another group. I've decided to strip it and stain and varnish it. I really think it would look nice that way. When and if I decide I need an "authentic" one, I guess I could just buy another one when the time comes. |
