Picked this one up from Craigslist today. 1902 Singer 28. She is missing a few parts but otherwise the machine is in pretty decent shape, the cabinet, not so much.

Odd motor mount.

Oh quiltingweb, I just LOVE these decals! In fact, I want to get one to display near Josephine, my 127 treadle with Sphinx decals. Unfortunately, all the Franklins I've been finding are in treadles too, and I just don't have the space. (I also like the decals of the Franklin Rotary with their Art Deco lines.) And yours was FREE! I'm green with envy over here!

I have to admit, I'm kinda excited about it. (OK...really excited)

Don't know what the C-Clamp is for, but the other is a tension wheel (the thread goes between the two disks). It almost appears that it may well go with your machine, because it does not seem that the tension wheel is on the machine.

Hello,

I recently purchased a 1936 singer model JB970671 with a singer 40 cabinet for $25 & a 1915 singer model G5580946 for $50 dollars. Both are operational but the electric needs to get the timing fixed and the treadle needs a new belt - I think :) That said, I don't plan on using the machines, they will stay tucked away in the cabinets. One will be used for my pressing area, I have a small ironing board that will rest nicely on top and the drawers will store fat quarters. The other one will be used to place my computerized Pfaff which I use everyday. It is totally inspiring when I quilt - to think who and what were made with this little peice of history! Love, love them.

That treadle cabinet is pretty :) Nice condition too!

Ginny, those are both lovely machines, and you got great deals on both of them. I really like the cabinet for the treadle -- are those RAF decals on that puppy? Very nice indeed!
