A Featherweight is a lovely little machine. Its not just for piecing quilts. I've made garments with it also. I made jacket with my machine, the fabric was a midwale purple corduroy; no problems handling all the layers. I sewed flat fell seams, it performed flawlessly, used a 16/100 denim needle in the machine.

Me, too! I have so much fabric, some of it already cut (for folded star potholders), about 4 banker's boxes of yarn (I knitted a lot shortly after my back surgery in June 2013, and a ton of fabric for quilts, etc. I'm going to have to slow down on my fabric shopping! LOL! Then, too, I picked up my knitting needles again while I'm recovering from an injection procedure done on Tuesday. Thank God, the procedure seems to be working -- since I've been working on this back problem for about 6-7 years now, I'm extremely grateful! I'm still working on unfreezing some screws on the Minnesota A I got for my cousin, but I'm not doing any lifting of any kind!
