This one has a door for disks but no disks at all - anybody know what they should look like?

It is made in Japan - one very nice machine... Zig zag works fine

I have cleaned it and it is sewing - sews through anything - I don't have a manual or disks - I've looked but I can't find anything like it on line. Does that make it a rare machine???? Anybody know a date for this one??? A model number?

miriam 03-03-2013 05:51 AM

ARGH the pictures of this machine are so illusive
I can't find any on line and mine don't want to post
do you think it is a very shy machine???
It has GNS in big raised letters on the very bottom of the machine
There is a serial number 672-4142 on the bottom front
This one uses high shank attachments.
I'm hoping someone knows what it is.

My friend Carol's hubby brought this one home one day not too long ago. It was on its way to the junk pile. She's looking for info. Can we still call Husqvarna Viking for info on Whites?

I would have dragged that one home kicking and screaming, too! Those old White machines are very nice IMHO. I haven't seen one I hated anyway.
I don't know a thing about Husqvarna Viking. I don't even know a model number or name for that machine. There is a serial number. Marking on the bottom GNS.

I seem to remember that Husky bought White...I'll have to check. She found the serial number and model...yep model 363 serial no10131.

Yes, I called them and was given the date info on my White Model A from 1876...

Are all old Whites the same color....I've got a straight stitch White without all the bells and whistles that I bought new in 1960 that has the same colors. The first white posted looks like it has a ham radio built in...lol. I love my old machine but it's too heavy for me to be hefting around anymore. It sews thru multiple layers of even leather like butter. Congrats girls....you got good machines. I was told they are one of the rare machines that can be converted to a "stretch" machine.

It just amazes me what people want to throw out. :(

My Grandma had one just like your friend's machine. It was a lovely machine , too bad I wasn't old enough to use it yet.
