Really nice bag! Bertie my 1946 Singer 66-18 has started on a new project. I found some Eleanor Burns fabric samples at a thrift store. Might look good as a split-rail fence lap quilt. The flowery stuff really contrasts with Bertie's crinkle finish.

Mrs Finch, You are right about the contrast. I just sold my crinkle 128. I like your Bento Box.
GreyQ, very pretty bag.
AnnieRose, my 301, has a Drunkard's Path type quilt in batiks on her right now. Almost together and the back is coming along, too.

Thanks all! It's an original design, which just means I was making it up as I went along. It's kind of a regular tote set into a firmer base so you can have a magazine, book, water bottle on the outside and the inside has pockets & a portable organizer. The stripey fabric is scraps sewn together. One tip to make an easy base: make a sleeve/pocket about the size of your purse/tote bottom then cut an appropriate size chunk out of your old, wavy, cutting mat. Insert the cutting mat piece into the sleeve, fold the open end under and place in the bottom of the bag. It helps your bag keep its shape.
PS -It just won a Grand Champion ribbon at the local county fair.
