I found an old New Home that has been stored in a garage for some time. Cleaning up the head, I am comfortable with. The veneer on the other hand would be an issue. There are several missing pieces and some larger sections that have become delaminated. There is also one section in the back, where it is delaminated and warped. I am comfortable with basic wood work, strip, stain, finish etc, but have never tackled anything as extensive as veneer repair.

Any guidance will be appreciated

I'm sure someone will come along and be able to give you some specifics better than I can, maybe some links. I've got a machine(coincidentally it's also a New Home) that also needs veneer replaced. I just know that it isn't that hard to do.

There are about a dozen different ways to do that, but I have had good luck with vacuum bagging veneer. I made the pump out of a cheap Chinese electric tire pump. I removed the case and moved the hose from the "out" side to the "in" side and viola!, a vacuum pump. I bought a vacuum bagging kit form the big auction site, and have already done two of the 4 parts of one of my treadles.

Not hard, just time consuming
