    Default Singer 237 hand crank

If your not opposed to drilling a hole in your hand wheel, you can try some thing like this. I swapped in a plastic hand wheel for this experiment.

206 was the first Singer zig zag capable machine; (most) others before can be made to zig zag with an attachment. The 206 and later have solid handwheels and can be made to treadle, but handcranking requires a special attachment some folks make by tapping the friction nut in the center of the wheel to accept one...

I'm not sure if the 206 could be done. From my understanding, the 306 and 319 the motor boss is not lined up to properly use a hand crank. Dianne brought a Nelco ZZ machine that she had put a hand crank on to one of our get-togethers.

LeonF put one on a Wizard machine.

A couple of links for converting to a hand crank can be found at http://www.treadleon.net/sewingmachi...handwheel.html and http://dragonpoodle.blogspot.com/201...and-crank.html There used to be another, but it is no longer available.
