Default Sewing Machine Manuals

Does anyone know if there is a thread or link to files that might have sewing machine manuals on it? I would appreciate some links if possible to manuals I can search. I thank you so much for the information

Go to your machine website. Most manuals are available specific to your model. I keep the original manual and also download the pdf file.

This isn't correct for most vintage Japanese machines. No website or records to search for most badged machines. I think we used to have a sticky thread here for manual sources but not now. There are several manual sites like Relics, but you usually have to search by pics not names because machines were often badged with several different names. There's a FB group called -Vintage Sewing Machines (Non Singer) - that has one of the most comprehensive file of manuals I've seen. They have hundreds of manuals and if it's not there Teena will find it.

Thanks for the replies. I appreciate you all. Is there someone out there who is on the facebook site willing to look for a manual for a free-Westinghouse 803 model w/cams? There were several models that did not use cams with Model 803A on it and so forth and had different functions than mine. Mine is the only one I have seen use cams with a front loading cam window/door. I do not have facebook and do not want to go through what it takes to get on it just for the manual and then find out it is not there.

I think Facebook was easy when I used to belong now they want drivers license, mail and other items for you to get on again. No way will I scan this stuff into them. I don't know about the sewing group, but there are people who only want what they want.

There is also a Yahoo Group for vintage Japanese machines. There are a lot of manuals stored in the "Files" section.

Glowygirl, if you can find a manual for your machine that is minus the cam function, I would suggest you take it. The cam function is pretty straight forward. You should be able to figure it out in 10 minutes with some thread and a piece of fabric.

As for Facebook, make up the information. The only thing they will likely check is your email address. In most cases, you will get a confirmation email that you have enter a reply to, to confirm the address. Get a throw away email address from hotmail, yahoo or google. Keep it for that use only.

I admit, I'm one of those folks who do not want to be profiled by Amazon, Google and Facebook. So, I don't go to Facebook very often. When I do, I clear my cookies before and after. Also, I admit I miss a lot of stuff that I could have if I weren't so stubborn. I made that choice and I will live with the consequences.

Hopefully, someone will help you. I wouldn't bet the farm on it, though. I would guess that a higher percentage of "no facebook" people are here than are in the general public.
