I would guess it to be a singer VS 1 but it is older than my area of referance....maybe Charlee knows.

It looks to me like a Singer New Family Model 12. I picked one up a few weeks ago that looks about like it, only mine has been re-painted (rattle-can, flat black) over a coating of rust. I had to remove the paint and rust to get to the serial number.

today is Sunday, I looked and the bidding was closed at $11.00, so was that you????????When I saw it my first thought was, clean it up, but it on a stand and make a lamp base out of it........wouldn't that be cute??????
