Default Singer 15 treadle

I have always wanted a treadle and have the opportunity to purchase a 1902 model 15 in a pretty nice cabinet. It sews beautifully. They are asking $150. Is this a good machine?

Yes, it's a very good machine. If the cabinet is nice and it sews beautifully, you can hardly go wrong. It's a pretty old one too. Wonder which 15 model it is... would love to see a photo of it!

If it looks nice and sews well and you like it and believe it is worth $150.00 then it is.

mostly likely a 15-30 if it's a domestic machine. Singer produced that model from 1895-1933, when the came out with the 15-88,89,90,91 group.

I paid $129 for my Singer treadle back in the 70s. Does it come with any attachments??

Yea, I got it! She is a beauty. Sews really well. According to the Singer site, she was born in Aug 1902 and is a model 15. She came with a ruffler and this. Neither the seller nor I have any idea what it is.

Nice sewing machine. Your mystery accessory appears to be a "tucker or tucker folder". Thinking it was a tucker, I googled "tucker for singer 15" and it came up on pinterest, saying it is for a Featherweight, model 15, and 27 low shank. There should be a part number 26513 on it. Google Ismacs singer accessories and see if that pulls up instructions on it's use.

What a beautiful machine. I love my Singer Red Eye treadle. Sylvie sews like a dream and I love the sound of the wheel.

Congratulations. It has my favorite decals.

It looks like the tucker may be missing a couple of screws. You can find some instructions at
http://www.treadleon.net/sewingmachi...tachments.html Even though this is for the 27 puzzle box, the attachments and instructions will work for the 15 as they are both low shank sewing machines.

Thanks for all the info. I am sewing on her right now. Definitely a learning curve, but I love it!
