Singer 28 Hand crank VS 1899
I took my Singer 28 to a re-enactment celebrating the town of Booneville, Texas. I don't know who was more fasinated, the kids or the parents. I let everyone who wanted to turn the handcrank as I guided the fabric. I am making quilts on each of my old machines and putting a picture on the back of the machine I used. For this machine, I chose a spool block. The block is a lot younger than the machine but it was next up in my to do pile. The machine got people to sharing about old machines their grandmothers had. What a great day.

Maggie, I wish I knew you were in Bryan, I just left there visiting family. I am a native TX living in Huntsville,AL and we go to TX twice a year. I hope we can meet up sometimes. I have the 28 HC and it is a wonderful machine.
