Default Singer 301 Cabinet

I have a 301 cabinet I want to sell. I sold the machine but they buyer didn't want the cabinet. Does anyone know if the 301 cabinet can be used for a 201 machine or any of the other Singer models? I don't want to give someone bad information. Thanks for your help.

I wish you were closer as I'd love your cabinet for my 301 which is currently living in a floral machine bag. I think that 301 tables will only fit 301's. The flip up bed on a 301 makes it a different size than most Singer machines. I have a 201 in a Singer cabinet and know my 301 doesn't fit in there. An old Singer repair/store owner in our community told me that Singer made a "machine metal basket" that would adapt cabinets to fit a 301 if you didn't have the cabinet especially built for a 301. Hope this helps.

Do you have a card table with a cutout, or a regular cabinet with a cradle for the 301? The cradle would have a lever to push and lift out the machine, making it truly portable. The cradle can be removed and the cabinet would fit other singer machines (and there is a market for the cradles, to make other cabinets usable for a 301). One of my 301's came in a #56 cabinet like this one:

I don't think a card table for a 301 would fit anything else.

I have the regular cabinet. In fact, it's the same one in the link. Thanks for the info.

Actually, the flip up extension makes it the exact same size as the newer machines (i.e. 401, etc.) The hinge placement is the same as all of them, and technically a 201, etc will fit, there will just be about a 1.5" gap on the right to help you store your scissors on the floor.
