Very extreme in this case!

Maybe it finishes all your UFOs while you sleep.

The new carrying cases being made for them makes the value even lower.

I did notice that the flywheel is chrome, but that shouldn't put the value where that seller has it.

Probably because it is one of the very early ones. I believe the first one came out in 1935 and this is a '36... I don't know the reason, but I know some collectors want the 1936 machines. Maybe someone else here can tell us why? You don't see a 1936 FW come up for sale very often.

There are people out there with more money than sense, and someone will probably buy this machine for that price!

Well, it's nice to know that the case cares. It is a "caring" case, after all!

Maybe the original book, small inner box for attachments in good shape and oil can? It still seems very high to me. I have noticed that ebay actually seems to have depressed the prices because they are coming out of the woodwork now that every one knows they are valuable. When I first saw 2 for sale they were $450 and $500.

I got mine for a really good price, but she's no movie star, her box is scuffed, handle worn, decals worn, paint a little worn and the box was musty...altho right now, it's open with coffee grounds in it, thanks to another thread. Plus we couldn't get her to stitch so we got some off for that. I love her, but I doubt she'd go for $700 or even close, even tho I have at least one of almost every attachment, including zig-zagger and an original penguin walking foot
