Default Singer JC numbers

Ismacs does not have any JC serial numbers. The 15-91 I bought this week is JC788228. It was made in Canada. Is that why there is no record?

Here's a link to the Singer UK website for the St John's factory which appears to be where JC serial numbers were manufactured. Maybe they can help.

It appears the ISMACS isn't as *international* as they would like us to think.

I wonder how it got to Texas...Wow, the stories these machines could tell.

This one appears to be in great shape. When you buy at auction, you never know.

Thanks, Patrice.

Patrice,
No need to make remarks like that. Most of the information missing was due to data lost in fires and the like. The fact that someone has info on the Saint Johns , does not make ISMACS any less "International" . ISMACS took over the information, to preserve it, from Singer USA. If that is not good enough for you, then don't use it.

You're welcome, bkay. Don't you wish that they could talk and tell about their lives? That one would probably have some really interesting stories.
