Thank you for the great pix of the mechanism, I flipped my machine today to look around, I need to purchase some machine grease for it. I noticed the manual also called for kerosene on some of the fittings if the machine had been sitting for some time. I know the kerosene will dissolve the old hardened grease to make it easier to loosen parts.

I have a few questions for you----how can you tell exactly what model the singer 15 is? I have friends that want to sell me their machine...I looked up the serial number...AD8?4959...there are no manuals or accessories---and it is in a
rather modern looking cabinet....is this how they came? I can send you a picture if you can possible help me....I need to
find its worth so I can know what to offer them for it....Thank you in advance.......RJ from Washington state

Here is a link where you can go to determine what model your machine is: http://www.sandman-collectibles.com/...r-machines.htm. Apparently the potted motor is the what determines mine to be a 15-91. Use the serial number lists to find the main model number, and the sandman link will help with the secondary.
