NEBR Junk Jaunt Score!
Spent this last weekend doing the 300 miles of the NE Junk jaunt. My DH spotted a shortbed Singer 301 Mocha on a counter behind a chair and lamp. (I already have a long bed 301 mocha, shortbed black 301 and a short bed tan/cream 301, for all 3 a total cost of $75) When i asked how much she said $25, i countered with $20 and it was mine! I asked about a case but no case, but she said it did come in this cabinet if i wanted it............. ok, it needs work but it has the cradle in it for the short bed 301! Score!!
She had to hunt up the drawers for it, they weren't in it. She also found the manual, buttonholer and zigzag attachments!

The only problem with machine was the presser foot didn't come down, less than 5 minutes with my DH and he had fixed that. I didn't really know about this cradle until Bonnie hunter was talking about she had 1-2 of them to use with her 301's.

PPquilter, I'm not sure that buttonholer and zig-zag attachment work with that machine. They look like the attachments that came with my 15-91 and 201-2, which are short shank. I'd double check them before you try using them.
I ended up with some Featherweight stuff in my 201-2 machine cabinet. I also got some back clamping feet with a Touch and Sew machine, so leftover stuff is not unheard of in a sewing machine cabinet.
