stupid stylist - stupid lara?
okay, this is just ridiculous! Now, I cannot seem to get the bobbin seated properly . . . the little lever at the upper left keeps grabbing the thread. I know I moved those to take them out the very first time, and I have had them in and out successfully a lot!!
and now, I just can't get them to 'sew'.
here is the 410 . .
what am I doing wrong now?! urgh

Lara, this pic is from a Slant-O-Matic, but the principle is the same.

your bobbin case will have a "Groove" that matches up to the "tongue" on the hook.
And you're not stupid! It's a non-intuitive design. Once you've done it once, it's a snap, but if you haven't done it before it's awful to learn without a guide.

Yup! i'm a Lara too. That's why I thought your title was so funny. My parents read the book "Dr. Zhivago" right before I was born. How about you? Young Laras might have gotten their name from the Lara Croft video games.
Good luck with your stylist!
