Default Svelte like a Greyhound

The latest. There's some chipping in the japanning on the bed but I'm hoping that Glenn's method of using blackened shellac will take care of that. Otherwise a nice looking machine.

Pretty, pretty!
It must be tempting to make a quilt of that bed emblem! That would be a cool quilt!
Have fun with it!

Oh lucky you! Very nice! Let us know how the blackened shellac turns out.

She's a beauty. Definitely a Greyhound with that sleek design. Looks like lots of throat space, too.

Nice machine. The one thing on these old New Homes, Domestics, Davis etc machines that just reaches out and grabs my eyes is the HUGE space under the arch. Not like the modern obese plastic things that has very little work room.

It certainly looks huge but a quick measurement says that it doesn't have nearly the space that a 27 does - but the 27 is a just plain bigger machine.

I don't have a 27 but I do have a couple of those older machines and just love using them.

I have a 27 and love it! I love the way it sounds as I treadle away on it. Those old machines are just way cool!

Nice treadle machine. I wonder what sort of abuse caused those chips in the bed? Joe, any ideas?
