I emailed to the gentleman who sold me the machine and told him what a hit she is with you ladies. He said he wished he had one for each of you as there is nothing he likes better than a happy woman! Smart man.

I've decided to name her Miss Fran, in honor of my friend who has Altzheimers. I took care of Miss Fran for five years, she is now in a nursing home. She and the machine have much in common...they are old, they are classic and they are fun. The real Fran and I have had hours of fun together and I think the new Miss Fran will do the same. Yep "Miss Fran" it is!

When I see people post picturers of the old Singer treddle machines I think I must be missing the excitement. I have had my Grandmothers treddle machine in my house for the last 12 years but it is just standing in the corner and has plants on top of it. I am not sure that it works; I assume it does. Maybe some day I could try it out but I am not sure that I have enough coordination for the peddle thing. I am not even sure how to thread or control it. Add one more 'challenge' on the 'to-do' list.

Super machine. We're all doing the "happy dance" for you.
