The machine never really caught on as it's only a two thread serger and isn't very versatile. You can't do much with a two thread serger that a regular old sewing machine can't do. Anyone who owns a serger knows you really need a 4 or 5 thread machine. If I happened upon one for cheap I'd probably buy it to play with it for a day, but it wouldn't be a machine that would suit my needs.

It just dawned on me what I could use that machine for.
When I make the handles for my Wacky bags I use a 4" wide strip then fold it twice, giving me about a 1.25" wide handle.
I straight stitch down both sides then switch to a ZZ machine that can do an over edge stitch and seal up the edges. Usually my 500a.
Then I switch to a decorative stitch capable machine and do a design right down the middle. Also usually the 500a unless I want a pattern it can't do.
With that machine I could do all of that on one machine.
Not that I need another machine, but that would be a use for it.
