Walked away 22 VSMs
Craigslist ad 20 miles from my GF's house. 22 machines 8 in cabinets Some run, some need lots of help. All for one price, no picking out individuals. OK, that is a lot of machines to absorb at once and I don't like to sell.
Waited a couple of days, then went to go see them. I didn't even look in all the cabinets. ( machines were crowded in a small space) a few 66s, 99s, at least 5 potted machines. but when they aid "need help", they didn't say they some had been through a flood.
Some nice machines, but of course the ones I really wanted were flood victims. Posting some of the abused lovelies.

The transverse shuttle Gritzner ( sp?) had a broken handcrank knob, the shuttle was there ( pictured underneath) but it would take a lof of oil to even free it. handwheel would free for winding, but when engaged to the rest, it was solid.
Unusual Singer is a chain stitch model. I left my # with them. I may make them an offer that is significantly lower than their asking price. Lots of slides and bobbins missing. but yes, the red eye was pretty and maybe intact.

Leon, where's your sense of adventure?
I've seen some of your restorations and know that you could make them look good. One? of the Pfaffs actually looks pretty good. I see a few machines that would be fun to try to restore. A few machines that might be candidates for paint jobs. Did you look at the #42 cabinet? Did it have the ink well with the appropriate pieces?
John likes the ones with the large hand wheels and the little machines.
Janey - Neat people never make the exciting discoveries I do.

There was a Pfaff 130 that looked pretty good. This 80 was less so.
I may call them tonight with an offer.

The motor on the little green machine. ( may have been labeled General Electric) had lost it's way to mount it and was hanging in by the friction wheel not falling through a hole. Thanks for the link. Janey. You enabler you.
