Want to built a table for the W&G HS LS Industrial
My wife and I want to use the W&G HS LS Industrial machine we got from path49 a couple weeks ago. We've got a line on some needles and as soon as we get some we'll know if the machine will sew. Then we'll need some bobbins ( a bunch) and a table to use it in.
The problem is the W&G base is bigger than a normal Singer and it has no hinges. It just sits in the opening on top the work table. I have some instructions on how to make the opening.
OK, we were thinking of building the table on top of a treadle base and rigging it for a motor as well.
So here is a couple question for those who may have done this.
Other than Singer who made treadle bases with large drive wheels?
And, do you think a regular sewing machine motor could drive the big drive wheel of a treadle?
Or should I rig it to drive the W&G directly?
