Wednesday came home with us
Hubby wanted to go thrift store browsing yesterday and I saw an old suitcase laying outside on the concrete patio where this one thrift shop tosses all of their sewing machines. I decided to peek even though it wasn't sized right for any sewing machine I knew of. Sometimes these turn out to be old dictaphones and other odd electronics. I had no idea what to expect but when I opened it I just loved the darling little machine that was inside, she is about the size of my featherweight. She is a Montgomery Wards Expert B.T. She has everything including a dirty yellowed manual, cool foot control, a rusted shuttle, no long bobbins but I have some. Will need some electrical and a good bath. Only $15.00. The oil stain on her bed you can't even see in person but really shows up in the photo.
The case will need a complete over haul. I named her Wednesday for several reasons. The case creaks very loudly like a haunted house door when I open it, and we bought her on a Wednesday, she is chocolate goth looking and very petite, in my minds eye I could just picture little Wednesday from the Adams family sewing up dresses for her headless dolls on it!! LOL I really didn't want anymore sewing machines but I see now that I just have to stop saying that and know that some of these machines are just going to appear for us to rescue them...whats a person to do???

It was really nice to open the case and NOT see an old humongous tape recorder or some such thing...hehe When I called DH over he looked in the box and said Oh, How cute is that?! Here are a few pics comparing her to my 99 size wise. Turns out she is bigger than I thought with a bed the same size as the 99.
