You can still dust your fingers with french chalk at regular intervals. Might mean you drop your tools less???

LOL @ "she looks like she's going to cut herself if she's not careful"

Oh, you guys make me laugh so hard. I'd forgotten about that naked lady sewing photo, but I had seen it the 1st time it was posted. And the lovely gal with the distracted longing look and rose on the sewing machine. Oh, my! I'm more the wool socks in winter kind of gal.

I think I might resemble that lady - I got a hair cut - she cut off more than I wanted - it was suppose to be shoulder length.... yup - looks like me in the picture. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cL7ChDVKw-s

Love the rose too - makes you wonder what the photographer was thinking.

I like the newer advertisement I see for a small toy machine. Cute girl with fingers guiding fabric and big smile on her face - but she's on the wrong side of the machine to be using it.
What? You don't sew with roses on your machine table....

This French Chalk had me baffled. I think I've found it to be also called soapstone or a particular talc. I use a soapstone-like stick to mark fabric. So, if I can put my hair in order all I have left is the mental problems.

Great picture, and I just love that advice. If I waited until all the house was tidy I'd never sew. And since hubby does the dishes, I don't care what is in the sink. I'm so bad.

Cathy,

When that naked lady quilt was posted last August I was just out of the hospital and still going to the infusement clinic. I did not realize that it was a picture of a quilt. I thought it was just a picture of a painting. When I looked at it again today I realized what it was.
With my wife here too I wondered if the naked lady quilt was a self portrait perhaps.
