It's sitting on top the garbage can. Seems appropriate.
That sort of thing is all too common. Occasionally they destroy a really good one because they're too ignorant not to.

It could be just the way I'm looking at it or wishful thinking but the globe part looks like its just sitting on the spool pin. It doesn't really look like its attached.
