Question White brand hand crank?

I just rescued a pristine White Treadle head from becoming bookends. The case was one of the gorgeous 6 drawer treadles With one small nick. The owner had sold the base separately! Did White machines ever come with a hand crank option? Can a reproduction meant for a Singer work with the Clockwise turn of a White? If not, suggestions where to get one that will work since I don’t have room for another treadle base?

Whiete made a 3/4 sized VS machine called the Peerless that was HC Maybe another model. But in general I haven't seen Whitle hand cranks at all. The reverse direction would not be trouble for a Singer hand crank but mounting would be a very difficult endeavor. Quick and dirty and sloppy option would be to mount a steering wheel knob on the hand wheel if you have space, but then you only have 1;1 ratio of crank to stitch as opposed the 1:3 ration for a Singer. I hope someone else has more into. I'd love to do it too.

Well, I’ve gritted my teeth and ordered one of the Chinese hand cranks in the mid range of prices. Probably all the same but if it fails to work, I have a Singer head it may work on. Let’s keep fingers crossed!
