Welcome to Quilting Board.

I believe that you machine will not take what is called a t-shirt plate. I'm not sure what the rectangular White plate looks like on the underside.

I think that the knob on the right side of the bed is what needs to be turned to release the head to raise it. Is the spring belt off the treadle fly wheel?

I have written several posts about White rotary sewing machines with several links to manuals, additional info and instructions for threading, both upper and lower. A couple of which are White Rotary and Need help! White Rotary doesn't pick up lower thread

Hope something in the above links are helpful with what you are looking for.

I may be wrong but I believe you push to the left or right (not spin) the knob at the front right near where the drive belt enters the wood cabinet. While pushing the knob push the machine away from you to access the bottom and clean or lube it.
