Default White FW hesitates before stitching. Anyone know why?

Hi everyone,
I just cleaned and oiled my White FW but it still hesitates when I press on the foot pedal to sew.
I've looked online but don't see this addressed.
Anyone?
TIA

As an aside- I've never liked my white one as well as my black ones.

it's probably the foot pedal mechanism.
something is catching inside.

many of the cheapy-cheap new plastic ones do that.
the vintage metal ones usually do not.

Take the pedal apart, clean out any dust and lint, then test.

It seems to be the fly wheel. But I'm not certain.

There is a way to adjust inside the foot pedal. I think the Featherweight shop site has a tutorial?

They do but I think it has more to do with forming the stitches than the hesitation. I could be mixed up though as I've been researching all day. I'm going to watch it though, thanks!

Did you possibly re-adjust the belt and maybe a tad too tight now?

I think that's it. It's now running well. Thanks, everyone.
