It sure is a pretty machine even in the shape that it is in. I don't restore old machines, but I sure do admire them and they make wonderful paperweights. Hope you get it going.

leonf, It's been a while since I took that off, but I think there was just the set screw. FWIW to get stubborn handwheels off I'll put a piece of 2x under the needlebar to stop the shaft from turning and then "screw" the wheel off, rather than pulling it straight out. You might even be able to use a pipe wrench on the smaller piece (be gentle natch).[ATTACH=CONFIG]589644[/ATTACH]
