BTW the dark green thread is the underside, it's really nice, and cool how the thread tail, pulls to the underside when you do what the manual says on how to remove the piece, effectively locking that end.

Very nice repair. A metal lathe has been on my wish list for quite a while.

I wanted to buy an American product, otherwise I probably would have settled for a Harbor Freight type, used probably. The advantage to them, that I didn't anticipate needing, is the capability to cut any pitch screw threads. Helpful with SM's cause they didn't very often use size that have become present day standards. Some folks have modified Taig type lathes for thread cutting, but it's rather involved.
