I like snakes, would have rejoiced to find that machine.
Thank you for the lovely compliment. I am sorry you missed the machine but at least now you can be on the lookout for one.

I am currently trying to find a bouquet of sunflowers to match my name, but so far I don't see any I really like.

Not many? There were 8 snakes on the right side of that machine right in my line of vision and where my hand would have to go to tweak adjustments. That machine and any other ones with snakes or spiders I will avoid just like I did this one as soon as I saw they were not pretty scrolls!!:thumbdown

I love scarabs. I actually collect those and frogs in turquoise. I like frogs, koi and lily pads, that would have been much better for me..

Yes, I persevered and it was a great day except for that darn tooth.

Thanks everyone, I am sure I will have another story to tell soon.

Heather says I am magnetically attracted to rust, so I can relate.
Steve, At 1st, quick reading, I thought you said you were magically attracted to rust ~ not magnetically attracted.

Sorry about the tooth. I'm with you on passing on that machine. No snakes wanted in my house. Your Vindex was made by National and should sew very nicely.

I am happy and relieved to know I am not alone in the No Snakes boat.

I am looking forward to trying out all of the sewing machines I recently purchased to see which ones I like and why. This has been a very fun and interesting journey and meeting a lot of really nice people is the best part.
