Thank you, Dotty, and congratulations on being so close to finished! Will you start another one?

Probably not katybob !! I have several projects to finish - and I have a hankering to do Sylvia's Bridal Sampler. Also a friend has a grandchild on the way and has asked me to make a quilt for her ! Will have to see ! Thanks for your kind comments.

I just looked at the Sylvia's Bridal Sampler website. It's certainly tempting!

OOH Gus - NOW THAT IS TEMPTING !! I have to tell you that you have SO spurred me on to finishing my DJ - the kick I needed and I can't believe I am nearly there ! Of course still got to put the blocks etc all together and get it quilted ! But as for Sylvia's BS - I have been wanting to start this project - and always held back to finish DJ first. Let's do it !!! Am just about to do Right Side 2 Tri !
Have a nice weekend all !

I-13 Sweet Harmony

Gus and Dotty - you're brave thinking of your next project! This go round with DJ my goal is to finish. In the very back of my mind I think of doing another one and improving my accuracy, and maybe plan the colors out.

Gus, how do you know? You might remember that I'm using the book (only) and sometimes I can't tell from the little pictures. Are there pictures of her original on-line that show blocks in detail? Thanks!

I did look at the thatquilt tutorial for the folding method though - it is an excellent and very easy to understand tute! Thanks for mentioning it.... here's the link:

Yes, it's post #1940. Also, refer to Gus's post #1036, that description is helpful as well.

OK Janiacs... I can't believe it's been almost 11 months since I paused my journey... a new home that needed renovating took wa-a-ay longer than expected and then I just vegged out for the winter holidays. I still have some renovations to finish/touch up. Then I'm selling the home The neighbors here are the worst in the world... I won't go into specifics ... suffice it to say that the bad neighbors bookend me and the police have been called on multiple occasions. Deep breath. So there will be another pause in my journey this summer when I pack up and move back to my previous condo... luckily I'd rented it out instead of selling it. So I don't have a sewing studio after all. But I'm determined to get more of my blocks done, so I'm set up in parts of the kitchen I'd finished up two quilts for my older DGKs when I went there for Christmas. They just loved them. http://www.quiltingboard.com/picture...s-t209374.html . I've been doing some small projects as I'd developed a sewing withdrawal. Since I made a mess of the kitchen with those, I decided that the DJ blocks just had to continue. I'll post some pics.
