50 Fab Paper-Pieced Stars
#761
I have worked ahead a little and have Delaware completed. I knew I would have to put it aside for a couple of weeks to finish my homework for my Hoopsisters Goosetracks class. I am working on the border and them will put the blocks together. While my machine is doing the embroidery ( I only have one machine ) I have been cutting out more blocks. I cut out Indiana last night. I sure hope it looks better pieced in other colors than are in the book. I don't like the one in the book at all. I just love everyones blocks.

[QUOTE=SheriR;4911525] And I've discovered how to make paper piecing work for me. I sew it backwards? With the paper UP. I position the material with a light, then place it under the foot paper side up because I can see the line through the paper and it's perfect! I'll get caught up now that I have the hang of it and post pics properly next time.
Love your block. I sew with the paper side up. I didnt know you could sew it with paper side down. That would totally confuse me. And as long as YOU like the fussy cut piece in your blocks keep doing it. They are your blocks. Made your way. Have fun and keep on with the good work.

I watched part of the video and then followed the directions to learn her method of paper piecing, which I really like. I hope to get my block for this week done today and post a pic of all my Jan blocks.
