The part for my printer came today so I can print out my papers to sew. They also sent me new in cartridges for free. I need to send them the old part and ink cartridges back. So I am going to print a ton while I have the old cartridges. I had some color stuff I wanted to print but it was a lot. I have pretty much used all of the color ink. Now I won't have to pay to print it. I also have a big print job to do for my uncle. I will print until the ink is gone, then send them back. I am going to finish a t-shirt quilt tonight I hope then back to my stars.

I bought the book last year through Amazon.com and since I've finished the stars I'm thinking about working on this next. I think this would be a good one for a BOM or week. I was trying to find out how to set it up like this one, but couldn't find the steps/procedure to recommend/volunteer to do it. I sent a PM to an administrator for help.

What do you think? The book was about $20 - $25 but has everything you need (except the fabric, of course.) You may be able to get it even cheaper if you do some searching or a local library has it. The nice part is these are all paper pieced.
Patricia, congratulations on finishing the stars! Did you post a pic of your completed quilt? If so, I must have missed it.

Nicky, Love your Michigan. I agree with you about it being time consuming and I'm not looking forward to S. Carolina, which is almost the same.

Vivian, Thanks for posting your star quilt. I don't have particular ideas for borders but enjoyed seeing stars on point. We're only halfway in ours, but it's time to start thinking about possible placements. I also like seeing the effect of different backgrounds. So far, mine are all the same and I have to decide soon if I want some to be different.

Thanks nickylsf. I'm finishing up several other projects and still considering how to put the blocks together, backing & binding colors. I will definitely post a pic once I get it finished. I still enjoying seeing everyone's blocks.

I just looked at the book on Amazon, but couldn't tell what any of the blocks looked like. Could you posted a picture of some of the blocks in the book? I would hate to buy the book and not like the blocks. I am sick to death of stars. I just finished doing about 100 and was thinking.....Garden.

I started a new thread for the Quilts for Rosie:
Quilts for Rosie - Weekly Paper Pieced Sampler Quilt Along that begins in September. I hope you will consider joining in! Should be fun.

Here are a few more of my blocks that I have pictures of. All are 8.5" and I am using white as my background on all of them. Sorry not real good at taking pictures of the blocks.

Patricia the Quilts for Rosie looks good but I won't be able to join. I am doing the 50 stars and a Dear Jane right now plus all of my side projects. I am teaching several classes at the LQS, plus in September I will be back at work at school. I wil peak in on the thread now and then to see all of the pretty blocks.

Pat, please do check in on us. I'm still trying to figure out how to put my State Stars together. I want to get that done before September. I'll post a picture when I do.

Hooked, love all your blocks. You have some great colors.

Patricia Faye, It's too hard to decide right now but it looks like fun. If you think of it, remind us here again in August. Thanks.
