Ah Anne--sorry you've been miserable. It's very frustrating when we can't seem to do the things we want to do. When you can't find a comfortable position the days just seem to drag and then little rest at night either. Hope things start to look up a little bit before you have to make the surgery commitment. Lots of hugs from here.

Oh Honchey, so sorry for all the medical problems! That is no fun! I have gotten use to the start/stop button on my Brother, and my Baby Lock. You just have to slow down the stitching until you get the feel for it and it will work for you! After a while it is just second nature to use it. Does anyone else have a problem using the color function and return key on this site. Mine stopped working a few days ago. Rats! Maybe it is new Windows 8 computer! I don't wish Windows 8 on anyone - it is so confusing!

Oh, Honchey...what misery! No one gives us lessons on growing up but our body sure lets us know that things aren't the same! From what I've been told, the pain of the surgery and rehab greatly diminish with proper care and time in contrast to what you're having now. You'll know when/if that's the best solution for you.
Janie...a lovely block. They all play together so well too.
OK...I can't imagine doing mini's with the beauty and accuracy you get without PP. you are very skilled!!

QNS...time for your surgery is approaching and I would like to have you consider giving us...at least one of us...an alternate contact so we can keep up on your progress and send you well wishes. How about it? You can't be out of the loop just because of surgery.

I can tell you, Anne, that the word "Whoa!" does not work to stop the sewing machine. You have to push that start stop button, or the foot petal. I have had personal experience on that one. Sorry your knee is giving you so much trouble, but it sounds like there is a 'fix' for the problem. Doctors can do wonders anymore in replacing knees, according to the people I have talked to that has gone through it themselves. However, with muscle problems, if it just that with me, I will have to suffer along for quite a while. At least, no one today shoots an old mare that goes lame.
Discarded the MB started on yesterday. Chose a different pattern for the MB, when I get the time to work on it. Every keep cool (or warm Anael) and celebrate the day!!

JanieW ... What a wonderful non-holiday!!!! Great that all of you make the effort from your busy lives to do the once a year reunion. I'm sure there are not many that have endured such a long time of friendship and make the point of all ten getting together once a year. And then to return to the home area too! Congratulations to all of you!!!! ......... and now the race is on to be ready to jump on the Big Bird next week!
OKSGlad ... and how many 9Ps now? You should show us your mountain! I bet you are having fun playing with them for placement for the new minis that will result.
Honchey ...{{{{{HUGS}}}}} Looks like your TENS is helping, so keep on using it to help get some relief. Hopefully, you can get your surgery sooner, rather than later, and be able to get thru the recovery stage. As for sewing with the left foot ... just like FMQing, practice, practice, practice! I switched over when I was not been successful in using the knee lift for the presser foot. At first I thought, impossible! Then I kept at it ... and now I have problems when I have to use the right for the foot pedal. Though left foot use, may irritate your left hip more. So far the stop/start and I have not made friends! My hand does not move fast enough when I need to stop quick! Take care ... I'll be thinking of you!
QNSue ... Good Luck today with your knee and lung x-rays. How soon will you see the Dr. for the results and discuss treatment? ITA with GGal, if one of our group could have contact info to check in on you, and keep all in touch, I'm sure we would all appreciate it ... and it just might help you with your recovery too!

GG, its a six minute surgery on my eye...so will stay in touch...eye is measured on the 25th and will see what happens after that. Distance vision is going, but close vision is fine. Do not know how the drops will affect the eye before and after surgery..thanks for the kind thoughts sent this way. One day at a time, one minute at a time. Worst case, dh will have to 'follow' directions to post for me. He hates to follow the directions, would rather do things his way!
