I thought it best to have just one page for everything....we can keep better track of it all ra ther than bouncing back & forth...I hope you all agree....H.

Funny enough ... I was chuckling the other day as to how we'd bounced from one thread to the other, yet the same subject! And got thinking how confused others who drop by the threads would be! :) Happy Thanksgiving!!!! to all my American friends!!! .... I hope you have an enjoyable time time of appreciation with your family and the festivities planned are filled with many memories for years to come! My American Thanksgiving this year will be filled with rejoice that you, Honchey made it thru Sandy and what followed. And I will be recognizing the special blessings each of my PC/FWS friends have been to me. Happy Turkey Time ... Ladies! :) |

A fine day before Thanksgiving to everyone...the expectations are a'risin in waiting for the BIG turkey day tomorrow. I am so happy we have company coming in today and tomorrow! May it be a wonderful day for all.
Honchey, I hope you all are feeling better. Dublb, you all will continue to be in our prayers. JanRN, hope you get a very good offer on your Mother's house. It is not easy to clean out and get ready for a sale...emotions can run high. Places where we were raised and Grandma's last house are all gone...torn down. Time moves on. QuiltE, we give you permission to celebrate with us on our holiday...along with Anael...too...meet you all at the Virtual RV. Off to the kitchen to do the casseroles and dessert cooking....have fun everyone!! |
Happy day before to all of you! Thanks for your kind thoughts throughout this entire year. Yinz were my "safe place"; I could come here and just enjoy all your company. This year for Thanksgiving it's just DH (MrjanRN) and I but I'm still cooking all our favorites. We'll just be eating them for a few more days--yay! Haven't been in my sewing room (my other safe place) in a few days; having withdrawal.
Everyone have a happy, happy Thanksgiving--we all have so much to be thankful for. Eat responsibly--NOT! It's just one day and we can start a diet on Monday. Peace-Jan |

Our holiday plans have changed. W/DGM in the hospital we had ta regroup. DM isn't able ta git ready for us while she has been at the hospital sittin' w/DGM. My youngest DSis has the biggest house so we are goin' ta her house & we split the things DM was goin' ta cook between us. Actually I didn't take anything else home ta fix, both o' m DSis's split 'em. DH & I are fixin' the turkey & fixin's anyway. We also decided ta have our meal at supper time. This way if DGM isn't home yet, or even if she is home but not feelin' able ta goin', my DAunt can sit w/her as my DA will have had her family's Thanksgiving meal at noon.

Amen to that thought JeanieG. Like the others on this trail, I have been busy fixing up goodies for tomorrow. Cleaned up the kitchen for the night, so we have a fresh clean start in the morning. Way more work to do then; did not get everything done today that I wanted too...just too slow. Forgot about having to feed people today...skipped all my thoughts to tomorrow. So we sampled a bit of tomorrow today.
