I am the same. Yours is going to look lovely especially with the red cornerstones.

Thats what I was thinking Meredith...red cornerstones.....

I'm not sure what I'll use for the cornerstones or if I will even use cornerstones. I know that when I made my final decision for the sashing...I came very close to going with an Olive green...it looked wonderful with the majority of blocks, but I was going to have to redo some....there are a few fabrics that I used that really didn't play well with it.

Bingo Patti! You said it, with some "don't play well" together, with every audition I saw the disappearing act! I wanted contrast with the cornerstones, although there is a quilt in the software with dark sashing and they used various cornerstones and it looks great! It is "With a Little Help from my Friends" in the quilt gallery.

I feel a little nervous, as some of my blocks finished are a smidge too small, so I know I will have to be very careful with the sashing and may have to make an adjustment or two...

Some of mine are that way too Meredith. In fact..some I got a litte "trim happy" and if I'm not really careful, a little cutting boo boo will show. I think these are in the seam allowance and will be covered up, but...

No doubt we will be posting pics soon. So keep your eyes peeled.

Patti, glad you said you had got trim happy as well, think mine are a little that way as well. In the event of all else failing we can always add a new border to them right.

Well...sometimes it was becaue I was being to skimpy with my fabric since I'm such a tightwad, sometimes it was an "oops" and sometimes..well...sometimes, I just was stupid and cut before I thought it through all the way. So yes, I've decided that I'll judge each one as I get to it and I'll just add another border if its a problem.

There are definetly some blocks and tris that it pays NOT to try too hard to save fabric.

Everyone's blocks look so beautiful!! They are inspiring! The kids go back to school tomorrow (INSERT HAPPY DANCE) ;) I'll be able to get back to my Crazy Jane- my sister has named it that- because she thinks I'm crazy for undertaking this project. I can't wait to get back to it!
