    I figure that one of the nieces would "bite the bullet" and force herself to take it home :wink:.

    It is heavy Meredith! I only have the 3 rows sewn together so far (and mine has the batting too). I decided that I will sew the center together in segments...A-C...D-F..G-I...J-M..then sew them together. It will be easier to work with that way.

    I, too, thought the center section was terrible heavy! I was wondering just how much the completed quilt would weigh.

    Has anyone else noticed that a basted quilt doesn't weigh as much as the quilted quilt after it has been trimmed, but not bound? Does thread really weigh THAT much?
