Default March 2015 Piece & Cut BOM

Here is another of my original designs.

This is a 12 1/2" unfinished quilt block
You can make it larger or smaller by using a different size template.
You can use this quilt block any way you like.

If you need a template just pm me and send me your address. DO NOT put your address within your post on this thread!!
I send the 2 1/2" out for free.

I've added a PDF with more in depth instructions for those who need them.

It is my variation of a Jacob's Ladder

Here is the layout of the individual blocks

I hope you enjoy this pattern!!

Here is a quilt idea for using this quilt block.

    Oh I love this one! So many opportunities to play with fabric prints/ textures. Jacobs ladder has always been my favorite block. The quilt layout { calls to me. }
Thanks Rhonda, as always your creativity and generosity are so appreciated!

Good looking block. I really like your tutorials and explanations on how to do them your way. I've got to try this one.

It's a good thing there is only one a month! I kept looking at the design, and thinking "gold chain and gold star" and I knew exactly what fabric I wanted to use.

Does not show that well in the photo- the gold print is a black fabric with heavy gold metallic outline, the gold is Fairy Frost - so a lot of shimmer. The black is called "hand dyed" and has a lot of shading. The cream has a white outline design. This is a table runner - I made the small blocks 3" so it would be 18" wide.

I got the border put on - the gold will be a self binding, with about an inch of it folded to the back.

I like it so much, I went and fixed some of the more noticeable places that didn't line up - mostly where the black blocks meet to form the white center square. They now line up perfectly - though the don't look like it because it's not laying quite flat.

This is a close up showing the detail of the fabric.

Thanks once again Rhonda. Another great block. My guild is doing a table runner/ wall hanging challenge. I am thinking of using this.

Wonderful design. Thank you so much for posting it. And Cathy -- I love your colours choices in your tablerunner.
