Interesting. I don't think they are too dark. That said I haven't been able to play out the fabrics in my head with these blocks. It will be a mystery. 8-)

No not too dark, I love the zigzag, can't wait to see it used, especially if you miter it.

I think you have a nice selection. There are darks, mediums, and lights. You have good variety between lines, prints, and solids.

If you need help seeing the value (dark-med-lite) in your fabrics, print your photo out in black and white. You will instantly see which are dark, medium, and light.

I've been playing in the fabric! I turned everyone's fabric to black and white. I think I may need to change some of my own fabrics..... my choices may be too muddy in the middle.

Anyway, here are the photos. Feel free to download them to your own computer if you want to print them out. They are jpg photos.

Thanks Jupiter - that is really cool!

I spend way too much money at connectingthreads.com, and they have a feature where if you add your fabrics to your "design table" you can look at them in black and white (among other things). It really helps to see the values. But - I didn't buy these fabrics there so it's nice to see them in B&W! Except now I want to rearrange my fabrics in the picture so that the lights are together...

I am spending way too much money at Fabrics.com as they accept paypal. I hate using my cc for anything as we are trying to pay it off!
