I love your colors, Judy! Great block. Isn't this fun? :-D
I have my 12" block made, but not the 6". Hopefully tomorrow I can get that one done too.
hugs, Jupiter

Now that I look at it, here, enlarged, I could have alternated the fussy cut squares. There's one motif in 2 and another motif in the other 2. I could have set the 2 that match opposite each other. But I don't really notice the motifs in the actual block. Probably because it's just 6".
Live and learn, I guess.

I finally got mine finished. This has been a busy week.
Notes for the 12" block: I used the 9 patch foundation block I already had made. So, I appliqued the 5 little squares into the center of the block. I enlarged the triangle templates to 200%.... and that's about it for the 12" block this time. Easy to do.
hugs, Jup

The lighting for this photo wasn't very good. It looks yellow/dingy. Actually the colors are bright and the white is white.

Perfectionist in me demanded I re-do that photo. It is even worse.... hard to get a good photo on a gloomy day. Indoor lighting isn't as good as natural lighting on a sunny clear day. Hey, for that matter, I'm not as good on a gloomy day! lol
I am ready for next week, starting tomorrow! But we have rain in the forcast for the next 3 days, so don't expect any photos until it clears up.
Have a great week!

Oh, my goodness, what wonderful blocks. You guys do such wonderful work.
Had to send the book back to the library, it came clear from North Carolina. I'm going to gather up my fabrics, then work on it for three weeks straight. I really like the stuff I have seen on here, it lets me get an idea of what the things are that I really like, and I can buy fabric to comply with what I like.

Go for it kwiltkrazy
Jupiter - love the stripes and we know from previous pics what the colours really should be like - so we can "visualise" until you have a better photo opportunity.

Jupiter: Your blocks are lovely as always! I especially love the little 6" block and how you fussy cut the foundation ninepatch. It was really clever of you to applique on the center ninepatch on the big block - I never would have thought of that! Both your quilts are going to be knock-outs!
Here is my Rising Star for this week. I was really annoyed with this block. I didn't like doing half the piecing, then doing the applique, soaking and then finishing the piecing, applique and then soaking again. It wasn't hard, the process just annoyed me - and it shows. I kind of just threw this one together and I'm not going to obsess over my color choice or my uneven points or anything. I'm just letting this one go and moving on! It's OK, I guess.

Even if it did annoy you, I think your block turned out lovely Lara.
I haven't been doing the soaking thing, so this block didn't annoy me that much at all. :?
