That could be the problem. It will only print out the block itself and not instructions, which means it wasn´t suitable for PP.

I wondered about that too, then I read further on,

Thats kinda what I was thinking also...maybe the block won't print PP patterns because you can't pp it. In that case, I'd have to figure out how to do it anyway.

The software has Brenda (Papa......) how to put the blocks together. Check on the Home button. Very helpful.

Freezer paper can be used to do the circles and other shapes used in the quilt and then simply applique the pieces on the square.

go to whatever it is that you're printing but i want you to click on "page setup" then click on "printer" then click on the down arrow by "name" and change it to "doPDFv6".

this will convert the image into a PDF file. i want you to post that PDF file here so i can see what you are talking about and try to fis the problem.

i could not find a down arrow by "name"

every one has a good point - which block are you trying to print the paper piece pattern for?

if thats not the problem, maybe you can take a pic of whats printing out and i can try to figure out what the problem is.

If I want to print a block than I put my settings on "non scaling". That will work for the blocks but I still have difficulties printing the triangles.

Luckely I have the book also and i love working from the book.

I must do some fabricshopping. I really want to work with different backgroundfabrics from light brown to beige. That makes that i did create an other problem...the colour of my sashings...
Should I use also different light browns and beige for my sashings? Or dark brown? Or should I get rid of my (silly) idea to work with different backgrounds?

i think you can use different shades of beige to brown but for the sashing i would pick something completely different so the sashing doesn't blend into some of the background fabric but not into other sections.

i would choose a color from the focal fabrics maybe turquoise, coral, raspberry, etc. - something that will just make the blocks pop.

I think I've found the material I wish to use for the DJ quilt - I didn't purchase a lot, bc I wanted to know what everyone thinks about it. I kind of like the gold fleck throughout. The cream color resembles gold and matches perfectly. So, what do you think??

I think they are pretty -

How about making up one or two of the blocks and see what you think when assembled?
M-10 - a basic 9-patch would be a quick one

suzic

the fabric is stunning. your quilt will look so rich, the colors remind me of faberge eggs with the rich jewel tones and gold accents.

:D :D :D I really like it too, but making a block to see what it looks like is a good idea. Klue can you send me the instructions on M-10? Thank you!

I love the fabric choices too Suzi. Are you planning to keep it to just those colors? I think it will make a beautiful quilt that way. I'm not sure, but I think you might need one more color for the occasional three color block, unless you plan to do something different for your sashing??
