Happy Birthday Jan, you sound as if you had a lovely time.

Wow only 2 and a bit more rows to go and your done, you go girl.

Happy belated Birthday Jan. I have been out of broadband action since last week, and tearing my hair out - it's like having your right arm amputated, I felt so 'out of it' and what's more, I missed Patti'e announcement too.

Patti, it's an absolute stunner - I love your chocolate Jane, and I hope you win lots of ribbons with it! Your treatment of the scallops and pebbling looks great - an inspired idea. So a big WELL DONE from me.

And for those of you coming up to the finishing line, keep up the good work, it is such an incredible sense of achievement when you get there.

Thanks Lesley....I hated that you weren't here...but the big finale didn't go away and you could share in it...so thank you! My face is about to break from the grin! Did you find yourself laying yours out...admiring, putting away...taking it out again...over and over??? LOL!

Butterflyspain 02-21-2011 08:09 AM

Oh Patti, I think I will grin for the now till the end of the year if my Jane turns out half as well as your has.

You know you really do have to show it off. Isnīt there a nice show soon you could enter it in.

Well I am off to cut out my first length of border wish me luck. I am not making my scallops separately I think I would start tearing my hair out if I had to start sewing all those together. So making a pattern first using the DJ templates. Still quilting have now done 4 complete rows. But I need a distraction as its driving me mad.

PS......I am so glad you are all here, because I think I would have given up a long time ago if I had not had you all to cheer me on.

hugs and kisses to you all xxxxx

Lacelady 02-21-2011 08:44 AM

'Course we are all cheering you on Elle - you are allowed a little break, but don't give up, whatever you do.

Patti, yes, I did all those things. I couldn't wait to get it on my bed, and I just sat up looking at it all the time - but then when DD wanted me to put it in a show this year, I had to take it off the bed again in case I spilled something on it. Once it has been in the show, i will go back to sleeping under it, as I only had a few nights with it the first time. (and I still grin to myself about it too).

Oh I wonīt give up but I just need a swift kick now and again. This is the biggest project I have ever worked on, probably the same for everyone doing this Cyber sew

OK, bend over........

Elle...you are doing your scallops before you do your outer border??? You do need a swift kick to get busy on that applique border! Now get going girlfriend!!

I agree...its a huge project and there is noooo way that I could have done mine with everyone. I keep encouraging people that ask me to get involved here with the group to do it. I just don't think you can make this baby all on your own, well, you could...but it wouldn't be nearly as much fun!
