Nice blocks Cindy! Your applique on D-3 is perfect! The fabrics on D-8 are wonderful - I love the contrast.

Adnil - AWESOME fabrics!!!! wow that quilt will look amazing - anything with those fabrics would :)
Welcome aboard!! as for the raw edge applique .... it is your quilt - it would add a different look to the appliqued blocks, but where EPP is most frequently used is in piecing blocks where there are sharp and wide Y-seams, hexagons, and the like and that is not an area where you would do raw-edge applique as points and corners are most likely to fray gradually if not right away. This quilt is one where we are all challenged to venture out of our comfort zones a bit - but you have plenty of support from all of us!

For those of you concerned with paper piecing and having multiple layers - a couple of suggestions: if you can do it without paper piecing because the measurements are easy - then do so. I've put a few tutes up for blocks for which thatquilt recommends PP and I have simply measured carefully. When you do PP and get to the point of putting final sections together - line up your outer edges of sections [the outer line on the paper facing up and the fabrics right side down on your cutting mat] with the 1/4" line on your ruler, cut the sections with proper seam allowances, remove your paper, PRESS - dont iron! - and sew the sections together without the extra paper bulk.
Another PP tip - if you are afraid not to use the paper and there are many teeny sections, run a tracing wheel over the sewing lines on your paper pattern without the fabrics first to perforate it and make it easier to remove later.

Here are my week 11 blocks (B8, B7, A13). It's been a lot more hand sewing than I expected. For A13 I did EPP for the first time!

Hi all - I am always lurking here and watching !! Lovely blocks Fraew, Cindy, Katy and Judy(2) - the colours are so nice !!
I like your runner Gladys - very clever !
I haven't posted for a while - but I have been sewing - life seems quite hectic at times. I am just of to my Granddaughters school to do some reading with the class - they are only 5-6 year old ! So cute - well most of the time LOL!
Then back to LS12 Tri.
Have a good day - happy sewing.
