Dolly's sister......love all your colors. I just realized that you are from Melbourne, FL and I just returned from Melbourne, Australia.

Thanks, it was fun collecting/buying all the colors. I don't have a very big stash, so most of mine were purchased for the mystery quilt. When I go on Bonnie Hunter's blog and comment, I always have to tell her I'm from Melbourne, FL as she has many Melbourne, Aus. followers. Do you live in CA?

I think it would be good to get the rulers since you already cut some 2 inch strips. They were quite inexpensive with a Joann's coupon..I think it would cost about 8 dollars total if you had someone use a coupon while you used one. I ordered initially from amazon and it was much more expensive. Do you have a Joann's near you? It looks much simpler using rulers and less fabric waste, but I'm impressed with those who did it without!

Probably too late to post about the rulers, but a quilting sisterhood is so great. I sent out an email to lots of my quilting friends and 4 of them had the rulers, one of them delivered them to my house the same day. Quilters are special people, she said I could keep them til I finished the mystery as I told her I didn't know if we would need them again.

Aw gee thanks gals! :o

I can almost guarantee that she will use the rulers again! They will get quite a workout (if it's anything like the last two I've done!

Finished with week 1, including "spinning". Man that took forever to spin those (I must be doing it wrong) but boy do they lay nice and flat! First time I tried that.

Week 2 is cut and ready to sew...distracted by Boom 8.0 blocks. Have a great week all. :)

I agree. Love looking at all the blogs on the link up, but I could have been finished by now if I had spent the time sewing. I still have two days, so I should be ok.
