I have several Pam Bono Patterns and admire her site and lovely quilts on display there...no, I have not made any of the patterns nor plan to join any thing right now. If you have the time and desire, JanRN, go for it! I have heard each block is a zillion little pieces. Guess that should not scare you off since FWS and PC trail.

True beauty is always in the eye of the beholder. What one likes, others may not, since we are all different in way we see things.

Pr chance ... would anyone have ...... a little bird pattern?
I'm thinking a 3-D.
Might be a Christmas tree ornament.

Wouldn't it be a cute little add-on to Frosty's hat?

I have lots of birds in EQ5 but no 3D, sorry! Here's one: http://www.favequilts.com/Quilted-Or...-Ornament/ct/1

Ooo I like that one. :) Such a purdy birdie. I like the idea o' puttin' it on the hat. :) Isn't that the way it works, when ya want ta sew ya can't.

DH & I went ta WM. What a nightmare! Goin' through the store wasn't so bad, but we were in line forever! After about 30min.s we pushed our basket over & walked away. (Nothin' perishable in it.) We were still way back in line even then.
:( We then went ta Albertson's & spent a lot less. (No movies, no fabric, & they didn't have the dog brushes we needed.) I bet we would have still been in line at WM in the same time we went ta Albertson's. :)

I have made several Pam Bono quilts, here is one I made for my DS. It is all quilted in straight lines and cross hatch.
I have started her quilt called "Out of the Darkness". think I have 3 blocks made, its a long term project.
Yes her patterns have a lot of pieces but they are unique.
Will have to check out the thread

I couldn't get the whole quilt in the photo as it is huge, there is about a third of it hanging over the clothes line that you can't see. That is another thing about her designs all her quilts are super large

That's a gorgeous quilt mirabelle!

Mirabelle, since you made a few Pam Bono quilts: I have the Big Book of Quick Rotary Cutter Quilts and you need a lot of fabric for each quilt. Do you really need that much? I can't remember having used that much fabric for any quilt I made. Now I have to admit I didn't make that many quilts ;)

Hi Anael
I have that book also and her fabric requirements are fairly spot on. I always purchase more that is required as I "might" make a mistake. I have found that the more pieces in a quilt the more fabric required, its all those pesky seam allowances
With her pattern Out of the Darkness she gives the entire fabric requirements for the whole quilt and also the requirements for each individual block. The only down side for me is that if you are making one of her quilts like the one above you have to have the entire quilt cut before you start sewing, and I really like to cut a little sew a little cut a bit more sew a bit more.
Will take a pic of the blocks I have made so far and post them for you,

Be right back
